Went for NYAA (National Youth Achievement Award) camp briefing today. The camp is @ Pulau Ubin, it's a 2day 1 night camp---14 Nov to 15 Nov 2008
A representive from Pulau Ubin brief us on the programs and wat we have to bring..

Programs for Day 1:

Chek Jawa (If tide permits)

2300hrs Pitch Tent
2330hrs Free and Easy

Day 2:

0700hrs Breakfast
0730hrs Break Camp
0830hrs Team building Games and Mass Games
1130hrs Ferry to Singapore
1200hrs Lunch at Hawker centre at own expense
1300hrs Transport to School
1400hrs Dismiss from School

Wow the program are really tight..When i saw the programs i was like huh? what the hell is this? ok what is all these abt? Hmm..what we will be doing?

Have some comments on some of the programs, like:

Fire Craft- have to set up fire ourselves, for later use for Outdoor Cooking. No fire= No Food. Can die of hunger leh..

Solo Walk-huh? SOLO walk? You gotta be kidding! Have to walk through the jungles ourselves. No partner at all, nobody else only urself to depend on...We have to find our way out with the only help---Torch light. I think i will lost my way cos i seriously have NO SENSE OF DIRECTION!!!

Free and Easy-We are only allowed to shower at this period of time, Late at night.Haix..Wont catch a cold huh?


Now List of things to bring for the camp:

1. Day Back Pack----Aiya can use my radio active super duper pink back pack
2. 2 sets PT Attire (T-shirts & Shorts/ Bermudas)
3.Undergarments/ Brief (1 per day)
4. Cotton Socks
5. 1 pair slippers/ Sandals
6. 1 pair Track shoes (wear to school)
7. 1 jacket/ wind breaker/ Pncho
8. 1 Bath towel or Quick drying towel
9. Toiletries (in a toiletry bag)
- Bath Soap
- Talcum Powder
- Shampoo
- Tooth paste
-Tooth brush
- Shaving Kit (if necessary)
-Toilet Rools
- Sun Tan Lotion
- Mouth Wash (eg Listerine)
10. Personal Medication-gastric pills, inhalant, etc.
11. Small First Aid Kit-Plasters, cotton wool, etc (for personal use)
12. Insect repellent (eg. OFF)
13. Torch Light with spare batteries
14. Whistle attached to lanyard
15. Plastic Supermarket Bags ( For soiled clothes)
16. 1 bottled mineral water (1.5 Litre bottle) for use throughout the camp
17. Suffcient Cash for personal expenses
18. Spare Spectacles (if terribly myopic)
19. 1 sleeping bag
20. Waterproof your bags

Do not bring:
1. Expensive Items ( Mobile Phones, Mp3, branded items)--- how can not bring hp? wat if in case of emergencies? like lost in woods? I wanted to bring mp3 but then spoiled...haix...No Music for me during the camp...When back from the camp gonna listen to music for hours..haha..
2. Excessive cash

Just a 2 days 1 night camp den have to bring soooooo many things...Cant imagine if there's 4 days 3 night camp den we have to move our hse there liao....Just this camp i already complain alot liao, complain abt the programs, everything. Den future camp, i dont noe i gonna complain till siao, can write essay liao....Anyway just hope that everything will goes well and enjoy myself during the camp....

Yawns....gotta retreat to my bed liao cos tmr still have to go for the Y Prom activites held at Sinagpore Botanic Gardens and my role there is a reporter...Shall update abt the Y Prom tmr...Nitez...ZZZ..
